Sorry I haven't blogged yet about my fabulous weekend in Dallas. Since I have been home, Ive been very pre-occupied with my dear granny who is refusing to depart her shell of a body. Although my mother never shielded me from death and I took my morbid interest in death a bit further by studying "death and dying" in college, I have never actually watched someone go thru the process of dying. Its been a roller coaster of emotions. I am blessed to have been with her when the priest read her "Last Rites." It is to be the final shared moment between us. It was a perfect triangle of the priest, my granny, and myself. No one else will know the BEAUTY of that moment. It was the first time in 11 years that I have prayed. My wish for her is to depart to a place where she will be free to do the things that she loves the most, the things she has been unable to do for so many years. She will be able to WALK again. She will be able to EAT again, the food she loved so dearly. She will be able to DRINK a cold glass of ice water. She will be able to HEAR again. And most importantly she will be able to SEE, HUG, HOLD, KISS the person she has longed to be with for 33 years...my grandfather. So let go sweet woman. Run to your new home. Enjoy every second of every moment. And promise to greet me when it is my turn. Have a fresh pot of white beans ready so we can catch up...when the time is right.
So I'm sure most of you know that I'm co-promoting a book signing and party in honor of James St James on July 21st. The book signing is from 6:00-8:00pm at the Barnes & Noble in Arlington, TX. Then follow the caravan of FREAKS to the party at MINC in Dallas, TX...its just a hop skip and jump away so come on down!! Also appearing at MINC will be Richie Rich, Cazwell and possibly Amanda Lepore!!

I admit it freely. I am totally and utterly, freakishly addicted to Big Brother. BB is the true reason that I get excited about July fourth weekend [BB always starts near that time.] SO its back and I have the feeds up and I'm sitting here like the lifeless troll that I secretly am I guess. But so far here's the scoop on some of the house guests. DUSTIN is my favorite!! I LOVE HIM!! You guys know me and my gays...well hes the hott one that isn't annoying. Hes so sweet, thoughtful, seemingly intelligent, and soooo HOTTT!! All I can say for him is that I question his taste in men because his ex-boyfriend is also in the house.
JOE is Dustin's ex and Joe is the complete opposite of Dustin. Hes annoying, pretentious, slightly funny [at times]. But the biggest reason I have him on my Yuck List is because when he realized that Dustin would be in the house, he immediately, rudely announced to all the other house guests, OMG, MY EX-DUSTIN IS HERE! HE GAVE ME GONORRHEA!! Although I admit it was funny and created gay-drama early on, it shows me his true character.
Watch it here... But they may be playing things smart. Watch the ex lovers do a BB dance to establish how to navigate their way thru the game. Will they flirt heavily all summer? Or will they continue to completely hate each other? Time will tell...
NICK is the hotttt closet case. I am convinced without a doubt that he too is gay. He listed Legends of the Fall as one of his favorite movies for Christ sake! I'm willing to bet he has Hedwig in his collection as well. I will really enjoy watching things unfold for him in this house. You be the judge...Watch Hottie Gay Dustin rubbing Hottie "Straight" Nick's back in the sun. YUMMY!!!
So do the math! That makes 3....count em 3 gay boys for me to watch all season long on BB8.

My latest addiction is quite...ODD! I cant explain it really. How is it possible that a self professed fag-hag, a Scissor Sister groupie, a James St. James freak, a...a...a oh fuck it! How can I be addicted to THE DEADLIEST CATCH??? Hmmmm??? Someone better explain this to me!! I get great satisfaction watching them pull up the pots, especially when they are full of crab! Its a RUSH!!! Tell me you love this show too??
