SOLO CONCERT

***LIVE***

So I went to see LIVE and Collective Soul at the Sugarmill Friday night. Where to begin?

We arrived after 8:00 and Collective Soul was already on stage. I didn't really care cause I was there for LIVE. I am not a fan of Collective Soul but I can tolerate their music on the radio...when nothing else is playing. BUT, it was their chance to win me over. And they blew it. Their lead singer, Ed Roland, is very awkward on stage. I couldn't connect with him at all. His gestures and movements were...odd. AND he spit on stage TWICE! If you know me, you know that public spitting is one of my major pet peeves! So I snagged this pic from one of his fans cause I couldn't be arsed to waste my memory to get one of my own. All I have to say is that hes lucky everyone else in his band are HOTT ASS BITCHES. Cause I would not have given them more than half a song otherwise.

Then as their stage was being torn down, Troy and I made our way to about 5th row. We waited anxiously for Ed Kowalczyk to come out!! Oh and the band too, of course! THEY WERE FUCKING AMAZING!! I knew they would be. They played everything I wanted to hear except Turn My Head. I just wanted to hear ED sing "drunk on your juices" in front of my very own eyes. My pictures are for crap so I snagged pics from a performance they did a few nights ago.
After the show I wanted to get a pic form a roadie. Just my luck someone threw a handful right over me. I hit the ground and pulled one from a HOOCH that thought she was gonna get laid by the drummer...WOOTS!! Then a really sweet kid shyly tapped me on the back and said, "There's a pic in your shirt." AWE!! I asked him to dig it out lol. I wanted to let him have it cause he was adorable but I needed to take care of my sweetie pie Troy. SO I thanked him as I took it from him. YAY!!

I have to get something off of my chest...and its not my tits so don't get excited!
I have just had the hardest week of my teaching career and I have HAD IT UP TO HERE!!

If you ever thought you wanted to be a teacher...YOU DON'T!
If you ever thought you would impact young lives...YOU WONT!

Teaching is a career that is on a sinking ship to NO WHERE!
Let me tell you why...

PARENTS respected the teacher!

Classrooms are filled with kids who are the product of parents who have replaced "common respect and decency training" with "defensive attitudes and excuses training."

I am FED UP with parents who make excuses for their kids because they don't want to accept the truth. I am FED UP with parents who cant seem to ever believe that their spawn of Satan is anything less than an angel. I am FED UP with parents who refuse to believe that their child is capable of lying!

I think parents should be required to substitute in their child's class for ONE DAY so they can see what really goes on...
I think parents should be FINED every time their child has to be suspended...
I think parents SHOULD PARENT instead of working to make their kids LIKE them...

Message to parents...

YOUR CHILD'S TEACHER IS NOT WORKING AGAINST YOU!!!!!! If he/she says your child is a dipshit then YOUR CHILD IS A DIPSHIT!!!!!! ACCEPT IT and try to fix the problem!!!!! Teachers have NO REASON, NOTHING TO GAIN by telling you this information. We don't get raises if we torment parents!!!! Do you think WE LIKE to have these conversations with you?? I assure WE LOATH THEM!!!!!!!!!!!! SO GET OFF YOUR ASS AND PARENT YOUR CHILD!!!!

• Yes I'm alive. Ive just been so busy with work related issues that I am a walking zombie who is apparently brain dead by the time I get home. Its not a fun place to be in my early 30s ill tell you that right now!
  
• I interviewed for that new job. And although I really have the NEED to leave the classroom for my own sanity I do have feelings of guilt for leaving my students. I know my kids. I can handle them. Yes I'm stressed beyond belief but they are MY kids. I don't want to leave them to someone else. I don't trust anyone else to sit on my class bully so he doesn't terrorize my special needs students. I don't trust anyone else to document every detail of my schizo's day. I don't trust anyone else to be compassionate to the fact that my largest student is the biggest baby in the class...and his speech is so horrible he sounds like he has created a new language that only HE understands. I don't trust anyone else to tend to my soft hearted little ones that need a hug to get thru the day. I don't trust anyone else to educate my blank slates that are human sponges and begging to learn. Is it safe to say I have trust issues?


• Last weekend was Southern Decadence! OMG we had so much fucking fun!! Here's the list of characters that drove or flew in for the madness: Guy, Crystal, Alexiss, Jonathan & Henry, Troy. I cant even begin to express my glee over that weekend. So hold on to your britches for Mardi Gras people...that was only a sip of whats coming next. The pics follow... And of course I have uploaded my personal pics to my private myspace for my friends. Oh and BTW...Dylan Vox was a no show.
