I'M BACK!! I'M ALIVE!! I'M OFF FOR THE SUMMER BITCHES!!!!
OK where to start!! So much to talk about...I'll take it all in pieces and post it as I remember. But most importantly and HOTTTT of the presses:::
Here's my story as it unfolded:
I have anxiously been anticipating the release of Freakshow for MONTHS now. I knew the date of May 17th was quickly approaching. I had preordered 3 copies thinking they would be shipped out at the latest on the release date, and I would receive them just in time for my release from the den of hell. Summer reading was all planned out!! WOOTS!!
SO when the release date arrived I checked the status of my package and to my horror it had not been shipped out....for a whole week longer!!! *cries* I wasn't alone in my pain. Apparently many people have had issues getting their fingers on this book. So on my first day of freedom, I made the decision to go to Barnes & Noble and seek out a copy because FUCK IT I had waited long enough!!!
SO I make the trek to the B&N...ready to make a scene if they didn't have it in the store. When I walked in, I expected to see a huge display, with a cardboard, life size image of
James St. James. I didn't. I walked thru the new release section looking for the now very familiar pink...nothing. SO i made my way thru the maze of books to the teen section and followed along alphabetically until I saw the J's....then just as I expected...sun beams shot down and lit the way as a chorus of angels rang out...THERE IT WAS!! The lone copy of FREAKSHOW. I was soooooo happy to see it that I took a picture of it on the shelf before I allowed myself to touch it
Then I grabbed it and ran to the checkout. All I wanted to do was get home so I could read read read!!! So I did...I got home and what do you think I found waiting for me at my door?? You guessed it...an Amazon.com box filled with 3 copies of Freakshow. But I was just too excited to be annoyed. :)
I promptly opened the book and began reading...3 pages in I was in stitches laughing so hard. I'm still reading so I'll wait till I finish to give a proper review. But I will say this...if you have not already purchased your copy...GOOOOO NOOOOWWW!! Run like the wind!!! Shove over your grandma to get to it...you wont regret it!!!
